EveryBODY is Different

Our dietary philosophy is different from what you might hear from many health care providers or nutrition experts. It is built upon a foundation of REAL FOOD and from there finding what works for you in your life. An eating plan should support your health and your lifestyle – it should be something you enjoy, feel satisfied and satiated with, and can live within the long term.

We are each of us too unique to all eat the same exact food. Ever notice that men often eat differently than women? Children, teens, and adults can all have different preferences, even when you exclude junk foods. People who have desk jobs often eat differently than those who do physical labor. And people from different countries or even regions of our own country eat differently than other countries or regions. Our personal tastes and preferences, metabolic rates, and genetic backgrounds influence what foods will and won’t nourish us.

Most ‘expert’ recommendations are far too generalized for our individual needs. They are not based on the reality that we are all different and therefore have different dietary requirements. One person’s food is another person’s poison. This concept is called bio-individuality and Dr. Burke will take the time to develop a plan that fits YOU. If you’re on an eating plan that’s not working for you, we are not going to tell you that it’s your problem and you’re obviously not doing it right or trying hard enough. Instead, we will work with you to customize that eating plan to what you and your body needs.
